Video: George Takei puts ointment on an "Eastenders" fella's bum on "I'm a Celebrity"

We reported a while back that out actor George Takei, out Brit former police chief Brian Paddick, and out tennis legend Martina Navratilova were all appearing on the UK reality show I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!, where celebs of varying backgrounds are dropped into the jungle in a Survivor-type game show.

Already the show has been pretty gay-positive, with the camp having a discussion of what it was like for each of the gay celebs to come out and speaking about marriage equality and the like.

Most of the discussion was led by straight castmember Joe Swash, who was on Brit soap Eastenders. The way that he furthers the discussion with his gay colleagues is really quite nice to see ... but that's just the start of it.

At one point Swash discovers that he's been bitten in the bum by something (Paddick instantly insists, "it wasn't me!"), and turns to his fellow campers to help. He thinks one of the ladies has taken up the task, but it's ultimately decided that Takei should be the one to administer the ointment to his nether-regions.
