Governor Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live"

There's nothing quite like coming back from a charming weekend hunting for pumpkins and vintage Halloween decorations in rural Pennsylvania to find that you've missed out on one of the most-watched Saturday Night Live sketches of the year. Oh, and it features Vice-Presidential hopeful Governor Sarah Palin. Enjoy. (If such a thing is possible.)

The Governor appeared again in the Weekend Update to subject herself to a about her public image by an incredibly pregnant Amy Poehler that's probably funnier than it should be. It's after the jump.

Real Palin

Having the real Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live ruined it for me. Before, having been so deliciously skewered, the folks at SNL were helping to point out what a joke she really was. Now she's in on the joke. Very disappointing. She was the enemy and now she's a friend.

It was funny

I thought it was hysterical and I'm totally not ashamed to say that.  It doesn't change how I feel about Palin or McCain or what they stand for.  But it made me laugh, and I'm glad Palin was a good sport about it.  It shows that, guess what, she's actually a human being.

And really, it was still incredibly pointed and critical.  That rap absolutely skewered her.  There was no sympathy for her, just because she was sitting there.

Why dos this woman get so

Why dos this woman get so much publicity on AE when she is against gay-rights.

I have seen here name pop up here more than the democratic guy, you may as wel start a blog on what the Phelps family are up to.

Phelps? Yummm!

I'd LOVE to know what Michael Phelps's family is up to, particularly if there's a cute gay cousin in there somewhere! Oh...that's not the Phelps you were referring to...

I don't think Sarah Palin came off looking like a good sport, actually. I think her appearance looked controlled to the gills by her advisors. What's funny is when somebody's a good sport. What's UNfunny is when somebody is trying to control-freak the content...and probably only went on in the first place because the G.O.P. is desperate to turn around the public's accurate appraisal of the Republican Ship of Fools.

The blog thinks Sarah Palin is konstantly kreepy.
