Heath Ledger found dead

I'm in shock.  What a waste of talent.

Oh my god...

now, he was one of those people i would never of expected this from. how weird. wow. right now, i am thinking "heath ledger? not lindsay or britney?"

just ain't right. man. :-/

This is such a shame, this was a very talented actor who had so much to do yet. Sad, very sad.

This is so wrong.

I didn't think his life would end this way - so suddenly, so young.

He was a truly talented actor - Brokeback alone gave me infinite amount of respect for him. R.I.P.

I just hope it was not an overdose, I will be very upset if it is.  My heart goes out to his family and friends who must be suffering terribly.

If it is an overdose let us hope he is not given the "tragic artist" treatment like Judy Garland, Jim Morrison or Kurt Cobain.  I'm tired of society paying attention to self-destructive people while ignoring those who overcome great obstacles and keep living.

Crushing news to hear. I still can't believe he is dead.

Heath was a superbly talented actor. He was fanstastic as Ennis in Brokeback Mountain. A truly profound and moving perfomance.

I had heard a couple of years ago that he was struggling with a drug problem. He was trying to fight his addiction. But who knows at this time what killed him. We will just have to wait and see. Nevertheless, this is a terrible loss to the acting world. And he just completed the role of Joker in the new Batman movie. Wow, what a shock!!

Why is the question - to lose such a talented person. Just another life snuffed out at prime.

Next time I look up to the skies and see a "Shooting Star" I will remember you!

This came as such a shock... He's the last person I would have expected to be reading this about. Just like River Phoenix, this is totally out-of-the-blue.

The news came as a complete shock to me.  I couldn't believe it at first.  I really don't know how to react to this.

The media makes light about such things.  Addiction is a great tragedy not entertainment for the masses.  We have a part in this tragedy the tabloids are making millions because we buy their salacious pandering.

The bubble of celebrity is far different than what we imagine and can quickly become a gas chamber.  We may never know the truth of what happened, Any death is always a sad occassions but with someone like Heath with so much promise it takes on greater meaning.

If we have anyting to learn from this loss, it is that life is is both fragile and fleeting.

May Heath find peace in the arms of angels.
