Homophonic video blog (Ep. 11): Rachael Sage swings from her "Chandelier"

This week on Homophonic, Alex is beside himself to be ... well, beside out singer/songwriter Rachael Sage. The quirky songstress chats about her newly-released 8th album, Chandelier, and reveals the scandalous circumstances behind the album's first track, "Vertigo".

And as though that weren't enough, she then performs the track live in the Homophonic studio. For what more could you possibly ask?! See it all after the jump!

Great episode, guys, again!

I've never heard of Rachael Sage before, people, but I'm fascinated by her already - Love her voice, love her style and the way she and Alex played each other off during the interview was AWESOME, you guys should make her a regular! :)

Best,

J.

P.S.: Marc, that's a WAY COOL picture! Now if only you could've dressed the alligator in a Sparkle Motion outfit! :)

I'll join in on the

I'll join in on the praising. Thanks for all the great vlogs. I haven't heard of any of your guests before (wrong continent and all), so usually I don't have much intelligent to say - but I've enjoyed them all so far and am always looking forward to new ones with new music & musicians to discover :-)

(Was that cheesy? Sorry... I assure you - neither Lee nor Alex paid me for saying this ;-) )

Thanks, James and Lily!

Thanks so much for your comments. It really makes all the effort worth it to know that we're introducing people to these great out musicians. Things aren't like they used to be, but some of these talented folks still face obstacles that non-out musicians never have to think about.

Oh, and I assure you, neither I nor Alex could afford to pay you for the compliments.  ;)  In fact, we're saving all our pennies to buy some better equipment that will let you see and hear these artists as clearly as we do in the studio!

Be sure to check out our site. We have a few things over there that you can't see in the vlogs, including this additional performance by Rachael Sage!

Scary Lee!! Ravishing Rachael!

Whooahh! That mask scared me so much Lee, I immediately had to click on the 'additional performance' link.. and WoW! thank heavens.. 'Blisteringly' hot and amazingly talented Rachael Sage calmed my nerves and made me feel better instantly!

Another great episode from the Homophones! Bringing truly wonderful artists into the centre of my living room.

Thanks fellas! And wishing Rachael the very best of 'fabyoulous' success! Gorgeous sultry and sexy tunes.. just what a girl needs 24/7..!

The lovely Rachael

I have had the pleasure of meeting Rachael several times and seen her perform many times.  I just love her!  Thanks for having her on, Alex.  Now you need to get Sasha Sachet or Gregory Douglass two more of my favorite out singers.

She is fabulous, I am jealous

She is fabulous, I am jealous, I want to be a famous and in-demand music blogger too.

Also, it is crazy how much of American music can be traced back to training as a cantor! All the way back to Al Jolson, and it apparently ain't stopped yet!

No, not "distant gay traces" -- it's distingué traces!

Rachael's video is ridiculously hot

I love this episode. Still want to paint that wall, though, Alexis. Should we do a fundraiser for some paint? Maybe a "Braking the Cycle" sort of event? "5 days, 3 states, 1 can of Sherwin Williams."
