Hugh Jackman to host the most fabulous Oscars broadcast EVER
Okay, file this one under WTEver-Lovin'F?
Singing, dancing, adamantium-enhanced Aussie hunk Hugh Jackman will be the host of the 81st Academy Awards, announced executive producer Bill Condon and his producing partner today.
Considering that Jackman is a dreamboat and notably won a Tony for playing gaygayGAYgaygay Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz and that Condon is the openly gay director behind Dreamgirls, it's clear that the Academy are finally admitting the ugly truth:
Nobody but gay men actually watches the Oscars.
Pleasepleaseplease tell me that Jackman will be breaking out his Peter Allen accessories for the broadcast. Because as I've always said, if there's one thing that can pull the Oscars out of their continued ratings slide, it's maracas:
