Extended French "I Love You Phillip Morris" trailer jailbreaks onto the Web

We've been pretty darn curious about the upcoming Jim Carrey/Ewan McGregor prison romance I Love You Phillip Morris since it was announced last year, and now that an extended French trailer for the film has leaked online I'm having a hard time processing it.

On the one hand the lame gay jokes (Gay men buy things! Gay men exercise!) are straight out of Chuck & Larry. But then something very odd happens when Carrey's character (a conman who "turns" gay after a near-fatal car crash) meets McGregor's character (Morris) in jail and the story turns into a legit romance ... albeit one starring Ace Ventura and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

What do you folks think? Anyone who's read the book (itself based on a true story) have any thoughts on how it was adapted for the screen? I guess we'll find out how it turned out when the film screens out-of-competition at Sundance in January.
