ATWT video clip update: Luke and Noah ring in the new year alone, off screen
Alright, to be fair, the boys did have some cute moments in the New Year's Honkeytonk Extravaganza episode, which kind of played like the Haunted Dollhouse Christmas of Horrors episode from the previous week with a moderately more current wardrobe. While Luke and Noah were about as chaste as their turn-of-the-20th-Century, toggery-laden counterparts, they were once again the focal couple in the group of holiday revelers. And that's something. It's also something that the two left the party for a more private location ... something frustrating, that is! Yes, the fellas once again made vague threats about taking their iron-clad gay teen relationship to another level (what is the level beyond physical therapy, tandem homework sessions and hidden kisses, anyway?) ... and then disappeared. Folks, this may be a case of "careful what you wish for" come to terrible fruition: we wanted an upstanding, balanced, emotionally responsible gay couple on television, and we got one ... in all its doting, hand-holding glory.
Anyway, the fellas danced and Noah got over the "can't be gay in public" hump and it was cute. But why do I have the feeling that when we next see the fellas they'll be back to playing Archie and Edith while Dusty bangs blondes in his car and the Hotprechaun languishes in bed (with the same blonde, I might add) for an entire episode? Grr. Anyway, here is the clip from Friday's ep, along with a very funny/depressing fanvid that shows all the cutaways from the boys kissing that we've suffered through for the past several months. Enjoy!

Good video
The video "Luke and Noah - A Look Back At The Most Interrupted Couple in TV History" was very clever. It certainly shows why so many viewers are frustrated. But to balance it out, let's remember they've shown some amazing scenes as well. Even if they never show any more like this, here's a look back at the good stuff we got:

YAAWWWWWNNNNNN! What - What Happened
Did I miss anything? Were Noah and Luke in bed again but I somehow missed it?
NO! ATWT Producers are refusing to move Nuke forward. They won't even dance properly or hobble together; whatever the case may be.
If CBS is being pressured by the Religious Right groups then they should say so and exactly who and what threats of extortion were made. We need to know these things so we can act against them.
As to Friday's Episode, Let me guess, Luke wanted to take Noah somewhere private so that they can furtively hold hands together. ooooo! That is soooo risque. I'm already getting hard. No, not really.
eh...
The video is kind of
The video is kind of interesting but it exaggerates, before the Captain Perv incident the interruptions were justified, they created sexual tension and was good to the story. That was what kept people tuning in, it happpens to every budding couple in every soap.
Since the accident and them getting together, well thats another matter. There was actually nothing to interrupt, that was not good.
I am hopping the stall in their relationship its caused primarily by the holiday season and as they said another arc begins in a couple of weeks. And they do it well.
By the way, Happy New Year everybody.
Interruptions
I made the Interruptions video. I understand the early ones were more justified in the story since they weren't a couple yet but it annoyed the crap out of me that they continued AFTER the guys were officially a couple. It only reinforced my belief that ATWT is just too scared to have the boys be alone together because they might actually show some affection.
But then Luke is paralyzed and there was nothing to interrupt for quite a while. I was very curious to see how the Christmas episode would avoid showing Luke and Noah kiss. I wondered, "Hmmm...how will they keep them from kissing this time? Another interruption or something different?" As it turns out, BOTH things happened. We got yet another interrupted kiss and then a camera pan.
Maybe they're leery of
Maybe they're leery of doing a sex scene without their writers. Because intercourse just isn't intercourse unless its interspersed with snappy one-liners and clever puns.
It'll be hilarious when they show the two boys making nookie (Nukie?) in bed, and then cut away from the kiss they share after the fact. Seriously.
That's all folks..
My new year prediction.. that's about as good as it's gonna get.. we ain't gonna see any bedroom scenes with our favourite gay teens. Also, with the shakeup behind the scenes with Brother & Sisters, I gonna include a prediction of less Kevin's sexlife as well. Jake Gyllenhaal has a better chance of coming out this year. Hope this prediction fails to materialize.
I'm confused. Is it bitch slap or slap a bitch?
I'm about to throw in the towel.
At first, I honestly believed there were many complaints about the storyline from the usual suspects (christian right, focus on the family, etc...) but now i'm not so sure. First off, I haven't heard a word, not even a whisper from any focus groups complaining about the storyline, on the contrary, there has been a lot of support for it. And there hasn't been one mention of this storyline on TV or the radio since the kiss aired months ago, just in a few SOAP mags and nothing about complaints, so i'm really baffled as to why CBS or TPTB over at ATWT appear to be burying it? I mean, look at the New Year's episode...Luke and Noah talked a bit, swayed back and forth for about 4 seconds in what was suppose to be dancing, then disappeared out of the club so they didn't have to be seen giving each other a New Year's kiss. Many of the other couples were seen hugging, dancing together, making out, or in Dusty's case getting it on hot and heavy with some blond at lover's point. So why the hell couldn't they just for once, since christmas was a no show, just spare one lousy kiss or cuddle for Luke and Noah? This is rubbish!! There is no excuse for it except to have very little affection or even much of a story between Luke and Noah.
Metrabon...you just eased some of my frustration and gave me a laugh with this comment...
"As to Friday's Episode, Let me guess, Luke wanted to take Noah somewhere private so that they can furtively hold hands together. ooooo! That is soooo risque. I'm already getting hard. No, not really."
Phil Heffley...I admire your strong support of this storyline. I honestly love the way you will always fine the postive and look on the upside. As for me...i'm about to throw the towel in on this one. And that's saying something, since i've only been following it on Youtube since the rest of the SOAP is so unwatchable. I just don't think CBS or TPTB over at ATWT have much repsect for the fans or even care about the Luke and Noah storyline, anymore. How else can we explain the second class treatment of what is one of their most popular storylines for the show in years.
It's been exceptional at times
I have a strong support of the storyline because a lot of what they've done so far has been exceptional in my opinion. We'll always have that even if nothing much more comes along to please us. The fact that the story line has been so compelling and well done raised our expections only to dash them lately. Maybe it will turn around again. Of cousre I want more like anyone else. Fingers crossed.
O.K., but not great
I can't say I was too surprised that Luke and Noah conveniantly left the party before midnight and weren't even featured in the entire last segment. It was the perfect excuse for ATWT to use to avoid having to show them kiss...again. The fear this show has over showing a gay male kiss is becoming more and more obvious by every Nuke episode aired.
How sad that we had to watch Katie and Brad make out on New Year's - they're not a couple but they're screwing each other because she wants to get pregnant. Then we have Dusty and Emily kissing each other leading to sex in car. They both cheated on the people they're already screwing by screwing each other. How romantic. We see all this trash but Luke and Noah, who have got to be one of the most stable couples in Oakdale can't even give each other a peck at midnight. Sad, sad, sad.
Let's not forget that we
