Making Love, sitcom-style

Remember the groundbreaking gay drama Making Love, which starred Michael Ontkean and Kate Jackson as a married couple whose lives fall apart after Ontkean falls for Harry Hamlin?

Not like this, you don't! Check out this hilarious clip that gives the laugh-track treatment to what is start-to-finish a crushingly earnest film. I guess you could say that in this video, "earnest goes to camp," eh? Eh?

(crickets)

Anyway, don't you love the look on Jackson's face in that pic? It's almost as though just as it was snapped someone off-camera yelled, "Cover me, Bree! I'm heading down La Cienega!"

Alice (The Maid) Doesn't Live Here Anymore.

Hilarious!  The subtext here is, of course, also a twist on the Brady Bunch, since they're using the Brady Bunch's music and laugh track. It's like a lost episode where Florence Henderson finally confronts Robert Reed about being closeted (as Reed actually was, at least to the public). Except I guess on the Brady Bunch, instead of Harry Hamlin, the guy he'd be having an affair with would have to be either Davey Jones or Sam the Butcher.
