As you may know, Michael is is Los Angeles at the Television Critics Association conference getting all the scoop on gay goings-on in TV. Michael left a pretty hilarious late-night vlog deconstructing his gift-bag in this week's BEST.GAY.WEEK.EVER. column, and below offers some takeaway tidbits for y'all...
- Out actor Derek Jacobi will star in HBO's upcoming film Pinochet's Last Stand.
- HBO officially picked up Little Britain creators' (Matt Lucas and David Williams) new show. It starts shooting this fall and will air next year. It's going to be set in Middle America and will feature both established Little Britain characters and brand new ones. (BJ: Pleeease tell me Marjorie is going to open a Fat Fighters clinic in Wisonsin!)
- Out producer Alan Ball's (Six Feet Under, American Beauty) has shot his first ep of new vampire series True Blood for HBO.
- One of National Geographic's new episodes of Taboo will look at Sexual Identity.
And yet to come...
- Tim Gunn will appear on Sunday for his new show Tim Gunn's Guide to Style.
- Anderson Cooper will appear on Sunday for his new doc Planet in Peril.
- Michael will be hearing straight from Captain Jack himself (John Barrowman) -- check back later for his vlog and see a grown man blush!
We'll report more as we get it from Michael!

I will never...
...be able to get the image of Anthony Head dusting his office in a leather thong to his assistants delight, out of my mind. It's burned in there for all eternity. Little Britain is brilliant. On Showcase (in Canada) the Brit show Swinging is on right after Little Britain. Two perfectly politically incorrect shows.
If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.
