Mores for Gays video blog (Ep. 24): Putting the "Super!" in Superbowl parties

With Superbowl Sunday right around the corner, Daniel learns about what to expect and what's expected at a Superbowl party. He covers everything you'll need to know for the big game (or at least most of it), and becomes mildly abusive towards his guest, Jeremy Make.

Problem

I'm not getting any sound on this and it pauses about half a minute in.

Strange

It's working okay for me. Could have been a hiccup on the server side, or your browser might be cranky? I'll have a few other folks check it out as well.

Hmm, three different staff members have watched in three

different locations and aren't having any problems. Try switching browsers or just hitting refresh. Let us know if the problem persists.

Appears to be a FireFox issue

As Explorer seems to be working fine.

Nope...works in Firefox for me

Btw, another very funny Mores vlog, Daniel. It *IS* a mystery, isn't it, why folks even bother to get together to watch the Superbowl when no one is allowed to actually talk during the game OR the commercials.

Even if I cared about

Even if I cared about Superbowl I wouldn't have been able to listen carefully to what you were saying, you're both too cute !

I'd love to get into Jeremy's end zone.

Wouldn't you?

That was too cute for words

very adorable!

I'm actually going to a Superbowl party at my University, though I don't know shit about football and am pretty much going for the free food (and cute boys).

I may be straight, but I'm not narrow.

I've been to a couple

I've been to a couple superbowl parties for my fraternity and still find nothing about the sport the slightest bit interesting.  Now if they televised a three hour Dieux du Stade photoshoot for American Football quarterbacks, well then I would go out and buy a Tivo just for that day!

Well, for me, the only

Well, for me, the only football games I find interesting are ones with my home team, the Texas Longhorns! its kinda hard to explain, but it goes like this,  I want the team that represents my state to be better than the teams that represents other states, sort of like a my state is better than yours game. I like the longhorns not just b/c of the fact that I was born and raised in austin texas, but b/c we hear alot that  everybody HATES the longhorns, which makes me even prouder when they win, rubbing it in the other state's faces. its also an adrenaline rush when your team is down by a touchdown and they have a limited amount of time and trys to get the ball into the inzone(being from texas you HAVE to know these things). now when it comes to the superbowl, usually I go for the underdog, but it doesnt bother me that much if they loose, like it bothers me when the longhorns loose. I think its fun. anyway, the video worked for me, just like Daniel AND Jeremy did ;)

So cute, that it was distracting!!!

Ok, so I started watching this as I often do (hoping to have watched the entire eposide to completion with a sense of deep introspection, or a sense of renewed knowledge) but alas you stumped me (or rather stunned me) again. Ok Daniel, we naturally expect you to be over-the-clouds-adorable as usual, but I cannot help but admit that Mr. Make is just so undeniably, superbly unpretentious that it is both cute and sexy.

To those in charge at Logo or at Afterelton.com - let's see if we can get Mr. Make to join the group (doing a VLOG) about traditional art. Sadly, it is a genre of our society that we all too often neglect, and/or have a huge void of. If Mr. Make is unavailable for such a project, then please - see what can be done (I know that you guys are busy and that this is not Christmas). Sidenote: I recently happened upon Exterface Duo (a french duo team that produces intoxicatingly great art - N.B. NSFW) that sadly is a genre that I have had such little exposure to.

Anyway - great VLOG again Daniel, and I surely cannot wait for the next one!!!

Oh, and BTW - GO CARDINALSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

JC's picture

GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a quick correction... The cards did win most of their games or they would not have made it to the playoffs. Sure they fell apart near the end but the pulling together when it counts is a true comeback story.

Wow

I just have to say, the entire video was just cute. But naiveté often is.

Superbowl Parties, in my experience, mean drink beer (or drink something else, but...yeah.), eat some buffalo wings, and shout a lot. A good time, though.

For the football uninitiated, just pick a team (the underdog Arizona Cardinals will be fun to root for) and cheer like mad when they score or make a big offensive play. Taunt the Steelers fans about their supposedly awesome defense (you don't have to know what that means).

As usual, great job, Daniel.

Well, in all fairness, it WAS a hell of a game

Glad I didn't have any money riding on the Cardinals.  And I didn't think anyone could match Eli Manning's performance last year, but Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger can throw me a pass ANY time.  :)  (You too, Jeremy.)

OK, now I'm going to go listen to some Madonna or Streisand and reclaim my pink card.

to be totally honest

I'm not really into football nor do I care about proper super bowl etiquette.

I just have a really huge crush on Daniel. And that really cute guy who knows all the football stuff. Haha

But Daniel is still my favorite. haha
