In addition to Keith Olbermann naming Fox News' John Gibson the "Worst Person in the World" for the insensitive insensitive jokes he made within an hour of news of Heath Ledger's death (which linked his death to his performance in Brokeback Mountain), MSNBC colleague Dan Abrams takes the notion of people connecting Brokeback to Heath's death head-on, calling it "insanity".
Definitely worth a look.

Bravo!
Bravo to Dan Abrams for calling out those slimy pricks at faux snooze!
If you have seen a fraction of the nasty crap that has been posted in comments on many blogs, you would just shake your head at the amount of hatred and vitriol that is being spewed on the internuts.
And of course it is supported and encouraged by many levels of people in the excited states.
Sigh.
Kudos to Dan...
For calling out John Gibson and some of the crazies on various internet sites.
I have seen a lot of this kind of hatred being spewed on the internet. They all seem to forget that a brilliant light has gone out far too soon. They seem to forget that he was a human being with family, a daughter, and friends that are grieving. They also seem to forget that to disrespect the dead is inhuman, heartless, and vile beyond description. I sincerely hope the family and friends of Heath are somehow being insulated against these idiots.
So much for an enlightened 21st century, eh?
Before we go patting Abrams
Before we go patting Abrams on the back, don't forget that he hasn't been the most sensitive person when it comes to gay issues.
