Neil Patrick Harris having Best Year Ever, getting head-start on 2009

Okay, I hope Neil Patrick Harris is giving his publicist a big holiday bonus this year, because boyfriend is EVERYWHERE.

First off, he scored the cover of the year-end TVGuide (with How I Met Your Mother hotties Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders, the most awesomely-named woman in television) and a big spread in their Best of the Year feature.

Similarly, Entertainment Weekly gave NPH and his castmates plenty of room to play by featuring the gang recreating the five biggest moments of the year (with NPH dolled up as Indiana Jones, a member of the U.S. Olympic swim team, and one of the Jonas Brothers).

And now we've learned that NPH will be the host of the first Saturday Night Live of 2009, airing January 10th. Added to his recent hosting and presenting gigs, his Golden Globe nomination, and God knows what else, is there anything that the star hasn't accomplished since coming out?

Congrats, NPH. "One Mother of a Year", indeed!
