New "Brothers & Sisters" pics: Episode 3.05, "You Get What You Need"

(Photos: ABC/RANDY HOLMES)

ABC just released some preview pics from the October 26th episode of Brothers & Sisters, in which something we've been waiting to see for a long time finally takes place: Kevin and Scotty have dinner with Scotty's conservative parents.

The episode description notes that it's an "uncomfortable first outing", but really, with chilled champagne and the sparkling adorableness that is Luke MacFarlane at the table, I don't see that it could be that uncomfortable.

Two more pics after the jump!

The first and third...

Pics just look adorable.  Kevin looks a little too dour in the second.  In either case, I am looking forward to how their story plays out.

Kevin rubs off on Scotty

Look at how conservative Scotty looks.  A far cry from the wacky hairstyles of Season 1.  I guess his "uptight" husband is rubbing off on him.

I would also consider

He's working as a professional chef now, if I remember correctly, so I'd imagine his wardrobe in general has become more standard, as well as the fact they're meeting with his conservative parents (from Peoria, Arizona, so evidently Scotty's parents are my neighbors), so I'd imagine he'd dress a tad less than his former flamboyant self...

Whoa!

Do we have a professional gay dress code? Why wasn't I informed? Please send me to the site! But - too late - I just finished sorting my brother's last effects and he was straight but loved the  the Rolex watches and name-brand clothes so he could impress his friends.

It just struck me as funny...

It just struck me as funny because, as you may recall, Season One flamboyant Scotty criticized Kevin for trying to "pass".  In Season Two Scotty's queeny friends were likewise irked by Kevin's "uptight" appearance and demeanor.  But now Scotty himself is ditching the twinkie hairstyles and wardrobe and starting to look more conservative.
