New "Brothers & Sisters" pics: Could one of these men be the mysterious Walker sibling?

(all pictures courtesy ABC/Scott Garfield)

UPDATE: Um ... no. But still, new pics!

ABC has released a slew of pics from the upcoming November 9th episode ("Do You Believe in Magic") that may very well reveal the identity of the mysterious 6th Walker sibling ... if we can just figure out which character he might be.

Plenty more pics and our guesses, after the jump...

Eric Christian Olsen

In these new stills, we meet two new characters played by Eric Christian Olsen and Will McCormack. Olsen might best be recognized for playing a young Jim Carrey in the sequel to Dumb and Dumber, while McCormack played Courteney Cox's gay-but-not-gay-but-crazy brother on Dirt:

Will McCormack

Now, it appears from the look of the pics that McCormack's character may be mentally challenged in some way, and Olsen's may be a mentor or caretaker of some sort. That's just our guess, though.

If it is the case, what do you think? Making the missing Walker kid a person of special needs would certainly be interesting.

And given that Olsen fits in with the show's long-haired himbo MO, it's likely that he's a love interest for one of the ladies ... and as they've already been to the "sibling incest" well, it's not likely that they'll pull that again.

What do you guys think?

What?

I'm not sure where you're getting the impression. These pictures look to me like two internet guys, McCormack being the geek and Olsen the ideas man, pitching an idea to Sarah. She is either looking for a new business to get involved in, or Tommy has convinced her to come back to the company, but created some sort of special project position for her.

Second that

I'm with Jonathan on this. Nothing says special needs here. It' totally reads geek-chic to me. Though McCormack's character could be gay&geek (the glasses and the magic throw me off).

However, one could still be the missing kid. Since Holly went searching for him I wouldn't put it past her to bring him around to make the Walkers deal with it/torture them.

Besides, if he was special needs he would be weaing a cardigan. All special needs characters on 1 hour drama wear cardigans, not hipster-ts

I love cardigans!

You guys could totally be right - some folks here got a definite special needs feel, some didn't, so we put it out there for discussion. I could totally see either way myself. And of course he's adorable regardless, even if he does clearly suck at magic...

I see it

I'm getting an Asperger Syndrome vibe. Something I'm very familiar with. But they're only stills so who knows.

Not one of these will be

Not one of these will be Ryan Lafferty, the missing Walker child, who will appear in episode 3.14 just in time for February sweeps.

Eric plays Kyle, while Will plays Ethan.  They are both internet geeks who co-work with Sarah in her new business endeavor.  Sarah used to work in marketing and she's back to her own roots in marketing but under her new company.

This makes sense...

...with the white boards and the guitar playing. Since Ken Olin is a producer, it does remind me of some of the scenes from "30 Something" when they were brainstorming for the advertising company. This seems like a post modern version of that.

Geeky Glasses Guy is absolutely adorable specially

with the sly smile.

I don't get the "special needs" thing (why? seriously, why would you think that?)

I'd say some kind of artsy OR computery guys.

They are clearly making a pitch to Sarah for some business venture.

Maybe jingle writers or computer game designers or toy designers or commercial writers?

Looks like a brain storming session with the white board and the house of cards and the guitar playing functioning as a means for concentrating (you know, multitasking and all)

In my fantasy, Geeky Glasses Guy is also Gay and makes a charming, sweet, yet ultimately uncessessful play for newly married and feeling neglected Scotty (after running into Scotty who's dropped by Sarah's house to return some baking dish or some other such thing).

Okay I just gave that way too much thought.

That's a lovely little scenario, Darcolover. Sweet meets geek. Nice. Plus Luke MacFarlane needs all the scenes he can get. What are they paying the guy to do? Collect dust?

As to the "special needs thing." Asperger guys are quite often computery game designer types obsessed with odd things like building houses of cards. They have brains. Social skills not so much. But I'm glad they're introducing two interesting new characters for Sarah to interact with. That girl seriously needs some fun in her life again.

I agree Geeky Glasses guy is adorable

I just want to hug him.

The other guy kind of looks like Sara's ex--could that be a coincidence?

I am on the side of Geeks

I don't think Sarah will accidentally stumble on to who Ryan is.  I do agree she is set up for starting a new business and the Internet is the way to go in this age.  Plus, they may lead to the uncovering of where Ryan is.

It also seemed odd to me that the man handed Holly a fairly thick folder from the COUNTY.  I have to wonder why he could have such a thick file, ncluding a birth certificate.  Let's remember it is Los Angeles county with a huge population and Ryan and Lafferty are  fairly generic names.  Would there only be one Ryan Lafferty in all of LA County?  A thick file says criminal record to me.  Perhaps a genuine con man? It woukld make sense and keep more balls in the air for the family Walker. Maybe that is literary license on the part of the writers or just a goof,. We shall have to wait and see. Additionally, The November sweeps is far more important to ad buyers than February or May. I would think the reveal now is more likely than later.

Actor playing Ryan

I'll just add to everyone else's correct assumption that Ryan is NOT one of these guys shown here. In fact, if you go to ew.com, Michael Ausiello has scoop on who IS going to play Ryan Lafferty. Hopefully no one else has posted this already :-). I won't say who it is, so as to avoid spoiling anyone, but I'll give you a hint: Who?
