New "Brothers & Sisters" pics: Episode 3.03, "Tug of War"

Ron Rifkin, Rachel Griffiths, and Matthew Rhys problem solve, Walker-style!

ABC has released some more pics from the upcoming third season of Brothers & Sister, these from the third ep, entitled "Tug of War". The episode description notes that in this installment Kevin (Matthew Rhys) will encounter homophobia in the workplace for the first time. All I gotta say to that is, "Kevin, kudos on dodging the bullet for about 20 years longer than most of us can!"

Of course, after turning to his family for booze, Kevin turns to new hubby Scotty (Luke MacFarlane) for support, and we then turn to one another and go "awwwww....".

More pics, including a sweet behind-the-scenes shot, after the jump!

I can't hardly wait

Swingtown was nothing compared to B&S.  The long hot summer is almost over.  My only real compensation was seeing Cheyenne Jackson in XANADU.  OMG it is all true and more, now lets see Kevin and Scotty doing it in bed to top that.

Awwwww moments

How come no one has come up with Ketty or Scovin? I thought his law firm got insurance policy for same-sex couple? How come it's become homophobic? But I take anything that gives me 'awwwww' moments from K&S.

Thank God for this show!

Thank God for this show! They show Kevin and Scotty in a casual, affectionate way as if it's the most natural AND uncontroversial thing in the world. Which is as it should be. If only other shows *cough* had the guts to do the same.

Saul and coming out

I'm very interested to see what happens to Saul this season. Coming out so very late in life, the reasons why, the ramifications - it's not something often depicted. What I do hope is that Saul shakes off the regret and finally revels in the here and now. Coming out late brings with it a second adolescence except this time around you really get it. I hope Saul gets to experience that feeling of WHOOPEE!!! It'd be fun to watch.

Brothers & Sisters

First off... let me say "Awwwwwww..." - nice to see, while simultaneously being a reminder of how few positive portrayals of loving couples there are in mass media, how few slice of life moments are shown on network television or cable between gay couples who are devoted to each other.

Second, Sally Field does a great job portraying a supportive mom of a gay son. Always wonderful to see her. They also do a believable job with Kevin and his brothers (I only have brothers and so am no judge of Kevin's interaction with his sisters).

Also, Saul could wind up being the most complex character of all. Older guys who come out have very different reactions - some get wild and social, some attempt dating way younger guys (with some being successful at it and happily coupled), and others remain somewhat standoffish at getting more involved in social activities. It will be interesting to see what Saul does.
