New Dolce & Gabbana Jewels TV ad: It's a gay, gay, gay, gay worldDid anyone happen to catch the new Dolce & Gabbana Jewels ad that's been running on television? The spot features a hot guy and sexy lady across town from one another and apparently rushing to meet ... only when they finally find one another, there's another hot lady and gent there ready for some same-sex smooching. It seems that there are two versions of the ad airing, as the one I saw last night on the CW closed with a close-up of the ladies kissing, not the gents (although you could see them embrace in the preceding wide shot). A second look at the start of the commercial reveals that there are two more sets of gay smoochers that foreshadow the final twist and establish that this commercial apparently takes place in Gay City on Planet Gay ... or in New York. You might remember a Levi's 501 ad that recently employed a similar "one ad, two endings" approach, but it's interesting to note that while in that case one ending was gay and the other straight, in this case both ads have same-sex conclusions. the jewlery is so ostentatious because the kiss sure ain't.
Now if we can just get Martha Stewart to do the same thing with her sheets and towels. Oops!!! I fortgot, they are gay, let's call Pratesi on this one.

Er...arn't both the guys the same man? It looks like a mirror reflection when they are kissing hehe!
But yeah I saw this the other night during Coronation Street I think. I realised that it was Dolce and Gabbana and I remembered the 'watch' advert they did earlier in the year when two men kissed again and I thought 'no, surely they'll be doing a straight one this time!' But I was pleasantly surprised...it was the gal/gal one I saw, so I suppose I enjoyed it slightly more than most guys on here ;).

...the words we first hear... then we hear the music/sound of the video, which makes me go for the mute control - annoying sound! I hope that is NOT the Dance Music of Tomorrow. Maybe, the kissing scene would have more appeal and attraction for the sake of the commercial with the right music.

I would hate to be as blase as those few jaded individuals who have posted so far. I am 54 and live in the deep south, and I thought the ads were beautiful and powerful and they made me so very, very happy.

Looking closely at the Ad
I think the people that are kissing are twins or copies of themselves.. You will see when the girl is on the train platform, there are two men off in the distance in an embrace and it;s fast but I think kissing too.. But when the couples comes together, I can almost swear that it;s a CGI copy of the person.. Look at the embraces
I saw it last night on TV and it struck me as two different people but closer it looks like the same people..
