New trailer: "The Incredible Hulk"

We've gotten our grubby, gamma-radiated little mitts on the new trailer for the upcoming The Incredible Hulk movie, starring Edward Norton. The movie serves as a reboot/indirect sequel to the Hulk film series following the oddly dour Ang Lee film from 2003 (this decidedly more popcorn-ready incarnation comes from action helmer Louis Leterrier), and it looks like your standard superhero fare, complete with explosions, conflicted heroes, a sappy central love story and a teeth-gnashing villain (Tim Roth).

Considering that this Hulk stars the scrappy and generally rather petulant Norton as Bruce Banner (as opposed to the impossibly dreamy Eric Bana, who played Bruce in the previous film), this is probably the first time in history where I'd prefer to watch a CGI character over a human one.

But that's just me. Take a peek and see what you think...

New Hulk

O.K., so you obviously think that Eric Bana is "impossibly dreamy." I'll have to agree that he is lava hot. However Edward Norton is far from your description of "generally rather petulant." Did you ever stop to consider that many of his film roles give off that impression? Granted he doesn't have the body of Bana, but so what? Edward Norton is sexy as all hell to me. Obviously you have never seen AMERICAN HISTORY X in which he had most of us foaming at the mouth with his sex appeal.

I'm not really into comic book films. In fact, the first Hulk film to me was a yawner. It will probably be another bomb as the first one was. Why would they even make another?

Agreed! Altho, I admit I feel a tad guilty - considering his character in that movie would likely bash my head in... :X

Edward Norton

Ed Norton is one of my favorite actors.  I will give any film he is in a chance. Then again, I like dark and petulent and I never found Bana that attractive.

Oh, he's adorable

Don't get me wrong. I thought he was great in American History X, Fight Club and The 25th Hour. But he's squint-acted through twice as many mediocre-to-horrible movies since (Death to Smoochy? UGH. The Illusionist? Double-UGH. Red Dragon? Not enough UGHs in this keyboard.).

I actually liked it when the universe replaced him with Ryan Gosling for a few years and more than anything am just kind of surprised to see him again.

Ryan Definitely a YUMMY!

I have to agree with you on some of Edward's recent films. The 25th Hour was soooooo boring it was pathetic! I am sorry to agree with The Illusionist tho. I loved it and thought he was very good. If you haven't seen Down In The Valley, I would recommend it. Edward is mouth watering in that. Wearing those damn tight 501's makes me light headed. lol...

Call me a softie, but I pant everytime I see Ryan Gosling. He's definitely a yummy! I know The Notebook has always been a chick flick, but I have it on DVD and I know I have watched it no less than twenty times. It made me watch for everything he has been in and I have the DVDs to prove it!

To point out again... I can't believe they made another Hulk film. The first one was ridiculously stupid despite Eric Bana's appearance.

What? You didnt like Death to Smoochy?

What? You didnt like Death to Smoochy? (rolling eyes). Looks and acting ability aside, the problem I see with this movie is casting. Im sorry but I just dont see Norton as Bruce Banner. Bana was a perfect match but Lees vision was all over the place, and that horrid CGI thing was just too funny. That was a missed oportunity.

Now I like comic book movies and get their bankability, but just dont see The Hulk as a succesfull movie franchise. I was really suprised they were going to make this movie after the last one flopped the way it did. I guess they recognized the idea was good, but the execution was not.

Oh well well see how this one does.

Edward Norton ...

... is probably the most over-rated actor working today.  He does nothing for me in every respect.

Edward Norton should star in every movie...

Edward Norton should be cloned so that we can have more of his movies released in theaters simultaneously. Better yet, why not create a movie where Norton stars in every role? It could be like "Multiplicity," except good. I am however stumped. I am wondering when did how a person looks in 501 jeans reflect on their acting abilites. I say you sit back, and watch some of Norton's 4 dozen films, see him as he changes from character to character, and watch the degree of passion and the emotions he puts into each and every role. THEN watch one of Bana's 5, (not dozen) movies, watch him as he shows no sign of emotion in the roles, while reciting the script in his bland, monotone, expressionless voice. He could be murdering someone in the street, or winning the nobel peace prize, and you couldn't tell the difference. The only person I've seen in the past years show any dedication to his trade, (like Norton) has been Christian Bale. Atleast when you see Noron or Bale's name in the credits, you know you're going to see a completely different and unique performance from them. Not the same with "The Terminator" Bana. I for one cannot wait for the movie, or Norton and Bale's next roles. But just for you I'll try to get in contact with them to tell them to work their glutes. So when you pay your money to watch their movie you can be completely oblivious to the talent on the screen. And continue to watch how they squeezed into those pairs of Tommys.

Christian Bale? Please.

He has one approach to every single frickin' role: constipated.

At least Edward Norton has some range.

Christian Bale, My Belle!

Joseph, you retract that dig at Chris, post-haste!

Then, I'll retract my claws. ; )

Needless to say, I have something of a crush on Mr. Bale. I enjoyed him in 'Batman Begins'.
