New vlog! "Beautiful Moments" with Simon Doonan
In concert with the arrival of Britcom Beautiful People on Logo (our parent company, lest we forget) next week, we're thrilled to introduce the new Beautiful Moments vlog series. Each week our pal John Polly sits down with author/columnist/style icon Simon Doonan (upon whose very gay and very hilarious memoirs the show is based) in the legendary Barney's Design Studio to chew the fat on a variety of timely topics. This first installment is all about how to have a fabulous Memorial Day, so it couldn't be more timely. Join the fun below, and be sure to check back next week for our review of the series and lots more Beautiful goodies. Submitted by on Fri, 2009-05-22 12:56. |

I thoroughly agree with Simon
Big clunky bathing suits are the pits.
Speedophobia is not all that different from homophobia, when you get right down to it.
Tech Suggestions for Future Videos
The opening music is much louder than the rest of the video. I had to turn the vol down.
Then I had to turn the vol all the way up to hear the interview... except...
I can hear Mr Doonan fine but Mr Polly? Can barely hear him at all. I can't hear the questions the interviewer is asking!
It's a better when I plug in my external speakers but Mr Polly is still hard to hear. I'm guessing Mr Donnan is miked but Mr Polly is not? If not, please do!
Then, with my vol all the way up, the video ends and the closing music is even lounder since the vol is up and the speakers are plugged in.
A little help with the sound editing, perhaps?
BTW: 'Beautiful People' is wonderful! I was lucky to see it several months ago. Is LOGO going to censor it for language (RuPaul's Drag Race)? A practice I don't quite understand with LOGO being a cable channel. An upper-tier cable channel at that.
Hard to hear
Its really hard to hear John Polly through most of the interview
can you please fix that next time. Thanks
Thanks for also commenting
BTW
Simon is funny!
Gosh, I don't know if everyone should wear speedos. What if you don't want to?
Can't people still be shy and/or modest in this world anymore?
