"American Idol": No, seriously - this really IS a singing contest. We swear!

I was ecstatic that Kris was safe. I really like him--he's a fine singer, a great musician and easy on the eyes.

I was devastated that Allison got the boot and Dokey is sticking around. Heck, her performance of "Cry Baby" after her elimination last night was miles above anything Dokey's ever done.

Last night, I even had a graphic made up with Kris removed, I was so convinced that he was a goner.  I knew better than to think Sally Jesse Smugpants was going anywhere based on the online chatter - sadly, I think he'll end up winning.

I had a pictorial  tribute for Kris set up for the livechat and everything. May as well scratch sending that resume to Psychic Friends Network off the to-do list.  I didn't take into account hormonal tween girls.  Has High School Musical and the Jonas Brothers taught me nothing?

What's is great is Allison will not start her musical life caught up in the American Idol machinery too long after the show ends. All she has is the tour and she can begin shopping around for a label. This might be great for her career because she deserves to be treated like a delicate flower and grown protected and carefully so that her first shot at the big time alone is not a bomb. I say we start her out with a featured duet on Adam's 1st album and a concert tour in England.

As for The Gokey... make him go go go! Man, it was painful to just have him sit there and laugh away pretty much one of the forst top 4 performances since Jasmine Trias and Nikki McKibbin strutted on the stage.

As for Kris, he earned his spot. He has been consistent and his downloads are all too perfect for listening. I really enjoy his Make You Feel My Love.

Why is there no proper performance clip of the final 3 on YouTube? All there is (very little) are picture-collage-clips with the candidates singing voice, but no live singing. Is this all copyright stuff?

For weeks now I have seen Adam Lambert's name on AE and now I wanted to check what it was all about, but cannot find a proper clip with him singing on YouTube (only older stuff, but nothing on his American Idol performance) nor on the official American Idol websites. How weird is that?!

You all seem crazy about his singing abilities, and I would like to concur, but cannot find any of his live performances of 2009 online. Only snippets and he does seem to have an amazing voice! I'd loved to hear his "Tears for Fears - Mad World" performance!

All I could find out about Adam Lambert is that he is 6'4'' tall..

Well operación triunfo is our version (well not exactly in fact the first ot was almost at the same time that the first Pop idol) of american idol, and almost in every season there are a gay contestant (some closeted, but lately most are openly gay).

My God...

Here in the UK, we get American Idol two days after you get to see it in the US, and, having paid attention to all you lovely Americans, I knew Gokey was bad. But I have just watched his performance and damn you all for not letting the rest of us know exactly how awful he was.

I have been in the Chitwan forest of Nepal and heard a randy bull-elephant chained to a tree bellowing out his pain at not being able to mate. I have been in Tibet and heard the agony of yaks unsuccessfully fornicating. I was in Bahrain when the engines of Concord ripped apart the sky of a small island. In 1978 I was in filthy cellars of London listening to a just formed punk bands trying to make music after injesting all the pharmaceutical sweepings of a freshly robbed chemist shop. Hell, I have even heard Billy Idol after he got his cock trapped in his zipper.

In all my existence, anywhere in the world, never have I heard a sound so unutterably dreadful, so indescribably painful, so horrifically nightmarish as that cacophony which issued from the throat of Gokey.

We can make a deal America. Whole sections of the rest of the world will forgive you Bush Jr if you just give us proper warning next time Gokey opens his gob.

Danny could take a big ole crap live on stage and still pull it out in the end.  Those envangelical votes are coming out of the woodwork faster than you can say cockroach!

I think the dead wife bit turned on Danny and the fact that while he is clearly talented he does not have the legs to go the distance. of true stardom.  While I thought it would come down to Adam and Allison, I am not at all disappoinrted in a Kris and Adam duel.  Adam is like a thoroughbred, who has run the race wire to wire.  He would have to croak a cover of the Archies, SUGAR, SUGAR to lose at this point and even that might come across as an edgy choice that is his trademark.

That's all I am saying...
