Video: Not to be outdone by JDMA, Make Me a Supermodel ups its faux-mo ante

Um ... wow. If I hadn't just watched this clip from this week's Make Me a Supergay Supermodel, I really wouldn't have believed that the show would be pushing the gay angle this hard. In this week's challenge the straight guys are stripped to their underwear and forced to pose as a gay couple in the throes of passion by Andy Cohen the photographers, and Perry and Casey rise to the challenge admirably (although we're not sure just how admirably ... this is a family show, after all!).

The fellas don't seem bothered in the least, which is nice, and Perry even notes that he's relieved that he was paired with a guy because now he doesn't have to explain anything to his girlfriend. See? Everybody wins. Cha-ching!

Meanwhile, Alpha Gay Ronnie is paired with a lady, and by all accounts knocks it out of the park. He even says afterward that he had "so much fun". Atta boy!

Be sure to stop in tomorrow night for our continued liveblog coverage of what is rapidly becoming television's most delicious guilty gay pleasure...

Check out the video after the jump!

Ronny looks a little Hetero

Ronny Kissing that female model might ruin the photo shoot because he might come off looking straight.

WHAT THE HELL is it with the producers of this show? That comment by the photographer that the guys shouldn't use the lollypop because it looks gay is insulting. So, Ronny making out with the female model is fine. The two other female models making out together is fine. But GOD FORBID the two guys use a lollypop because that would be crossing the line.

In one of the previous shows, I also didn't appreciate the "prison buddies" "joke" by that homophobic judge: ("He looks too feminine").

Yes, the show is worth watch ONLY FOR RONNY. But everything else is unwatchable.

Ronnie..

Dude, the girl was making an ironic joke about the lollipop. She was kidding, lighten up.  And "prison buddies" was a joke because on of the guys is an actual prison guard.

True, though, Ronnie is the only reason to watch this show. He's beautiful and frankly too good for this show. I dislike how the judges represent themselves as fashion authorities, when they're sort of nobodies, hardly major league.

Sleazy is actually the impression I gotlast week, and this clip sort of confirms it. None of the contestants are going to be "supermodels", it's sort of exploitative to make promises..

But sigh, I could look at Ronnie all day long..

Scooped

Brian scooped me on the video but I so don't care... that's some hot business Supermodel's cooking up!

I'm flogging myself for weeks over Perry (wait...) being sexy as all get out and now Bravo goes and pairs him up with another guy for a sexual/bondage photoshoot?  Phew... I don't know how much more I can take.

And how about Ronnie being the butchest guy there?  Right on!

I may be in the minority but I am really enjoying this show

And not just because of Ronnie. Although I was expecting a trainwreck, the show has a great look, moves quickly, we get to see life inside the house, and compared to three shows which obviously serve as "inspirations" this one is kicking all of their respective butts.

The inspirations for Make Me a Supermodel to me seem to be The Fake Drunken Real WordAmerica's Next Top Model, and Project Runway.

The first three seasons of The Real World cast people who actually were pursuing careers/a life in the cities chosen. Since then, it's like watching how people who have nothing to do go a little Jerry Springer on one another. SF and the first NY season are among the best bits of documented behavior in recent tv history.

America's Next Top Model has become such a snooze to watch as the format is so tired. While there was never any belief that any of the girls on the show would ever become even a working model, it was fun until it was not. Even Miss J. Alexander is borin and I  stopped cryshing on Nigel ions ago.

Project Runway - Still a great show hidden under there but I'd like to see them expand on the work procrocess before the big "reveal", less visits Mood, Tim looking and sounding less self-aware of his iconic status, prohibition of anyone saying "Make It Work" and maybe to integrate the judges into the mix. I am not sure about the last one. The show has picked up in the past couple of weeks; however I've not enjoyed watching the show as much as before but have appreciated some of the work.

Maybe I'll be signing a different tune about MMASModel, but I am all about Ronnie and his cute (non-homophobic bromance) and think that Perry, Holly, and Jacki can all work in the field in some capacity. Ronnie may take it all as he has the telegenic quality and personality to earn votes. Holly is the competition.

Disclosure: My predictions are generally terrible as my only recent winning prediction was when I called for Todd to take Survivor: China from the first show. The ads for the upcoming edition look tragic.

I like this show

I like this show! I know it borders on cheesy sometimes, but the candidates seem really nice and relaxed about everything and the photoshoot from this clip was really pretty sexy! Ronnie is great and he's definitely one of my favorites, but I also like Perry, Jackie and Holly.

Can't wait for the new episode =)
