Great song - it really suits the video and movie. I'm one of those who did enjoy "Kiss The Bride" in spite of the flaws which AE editors quite rightly pointed out.
Anyway, back to Levi Kreis. I just checked out his MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/levikreis) and I'm officially hooked on his music and his voice. I hadn't noticed he was part of AE's "Singer/Songwriters Burning Down The Closet" feature mainly because I had only skimmed the article looking for names I recognized. Having now watched his "We're Okay" video, I'd have to say it's quite heartbreaking.
I'm going to have to track down all his CDs. His backstory on the CD Baby site (http://cdbaby.com/cd/levikreis) is quite inspiring. He's very well-spoken (and adorable) in his TruVision interview at OutFest alongside his domestic partner (http://strimoo.com/s14361184)
you definitely HAVE TO BUY his first album "One of the Ones"... i bought this three years ago and it's still one of my favorite album (by a gay artist). Probably second only to Michael Feinstein's "Only One Life". If you like the song above then you have to listen to his award winning song "I Should Go." Highlights of the album include "With You", "Hold You All night" and "Love In Another Light".... i really love piano ballads and this album is full of it. it has more of an Adult Contemporary feel. His sophomore album, "The Gospel According To Levi" tend to be a little too alternative pop/rock for my taste. you won't regret buying his first album. i can't wait for his next e.p.
Great song, with a great hook. And yet another reason to give "Kiss the Bride"--as if the presence of hotties Philipp Karner and James O'Shea wasn't enough!--a second look. Kreis, by the way, is also an actor; he co-stars in "Southern Baptist Sissies," due out sometime this year.
Levi Kreis...wow!
