People may know gay dance musician Sam Sparro for his attention-grabbing (and Grammy-nominated) single "Black and Gold". After the break, check out the follow-up single, "21st Century Life", in which the handsome Aussie gets animated about living in the third millennium.

Sam Sparro #1!
Well, if we're going all the way back to summer...

I think I'll take this opportunity to begin my annual pimping for Titiyo (and Xavier and Lykke and co.). All of these artists had great songs out at about the same time "21st Century Life" was getting airplay. Some great music has come out of Australia--Nick Cave, Kylie, Goanna, etc.--and Sam Sparro is certainly worthy of all the attention he's getting. But other acts are being overlooked. To begin with the obvious, Titityo has a new album out ("Hidden"), and it includes a lovely new version of "Longing for Lullabies" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luIBrGyFNq0), her collaboration with Kleerup. Kleerup also produced a single for Lykke Li (a fellow Swede) called "Until We Bleed" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rGvq3cdJkk&feature=related), to go with her bookend hits, "I'm Good, I'm Gone" and "Breaking It Up." Another Swede who deserves your attention is Moto Boy, whose "Ride My Wild Heart" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g81NXjYmmHM) is simply the most achingly beautiful song I've heard in years. He also does a beauty called "If Only Your Bed Could Cry." Another favorite, a German this time, is Xavier Naidoo, who has had hit after hit in the past decade, including his latest, "Wann," from a live set, with Cassandra Steen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qe80EeU8cT8).
Are these songs of any interest to Afterelton members? I suggest they are. Several are promoted on videos that are gay-inclusive, like Tityo and Marit Bergmann's "300 Slow Days in a Row" and Lykke Li's "Breaking It Up" (on which she looks uncannily like Avril Lavigne). But I've gone on too long. I'll close with a live performance (in honor of Dusty Springfield) of "Anyone Who Had a Heart" by Per Sunding of Eggstone. It's the best version I've heard since Tim Curry's, and listen to Per's use of masculine pronouns: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQx4Y8KYhDc.
"The mountain has wings."
I love this song!
Although it flopped.Sigh...
I read on Wiki that he`s new album is coming out later this year.Hope it`s true!
