Goth pop-dance outfit Shiny Toy Guns may not have any gay members, but they've got a long history with gay audiences. Proudly gender-bending, the band has been featured on The L Word and even played the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco and has spoken out many times in defense of gay issues.
Well aside from all that, these kids know how to give good video. Check out the ghoulishly inventive animated video for "Ghost Town", their latest single. Oh, did I mention that it was created by out illustrator Glen Hanson, who brought us the sassy Chelsea Boys comic?

Love the song love the video
Shiny Toy Gun's has always been on my radar (I almost bought a razor 2 because they used the song in that ad, despite it being a crap phone) and this video is awesome. 2 thumbs way up.

Looks Like Glen Hanson's Work
It looks a little too Anime
To be Glen Hanson's work. His art work is more sculptural. These look like 2-D drawings pulled over backgrounds. I can see, however, why you would see a similarity, especially in the facial features. I went an opeming of Glen's work here in LA and I know he is trying to develop an animated TV show involving his work.
That's all I am saying...

Ah yes, I saw them at Folsom along with the Presents (who were absolutely amazing)...but I had to walk away and go watch Berlinwhen they started playing a cover of Depeche Mode's "Stripped". I have a total crush on the male singer though (well I did when I saw them...he seems very chameleon-like with his appearance not always to pleasing results).
I am so hot and cold with this band. About half of their songs appeal to me while the rest fall really flat. This song here is along the lines of the former, though the video doesn't really seem to do them any justice - they're not very goth in any regards with the exception of maaayyybe the keyboardist applying too much black make-up....
