Preview to a Kiss: As the World Turns

Twice now I have noticed while reading blogs about the Luke and Noah storyline that some of the viewers on the West Coast are talking about scenes that have aired on the show not just previews while the East Coast is waiting for them to be aired. The scene with Luke and Noah embracing after a towel fight aired at the beginning of Friday's episode and the "kiss" which hasn't yet aired here will air on Friday's episode. From what I gather at all the forums and blogs that I've read the scene has already aired in Thursday's episode. Due to a local weather coverage of our massive storm and floods during last Thursdays episode of the "embrace" I thought I had missed it, but there it was at the beginning of Friday's episode. I was so glad to get to see it but now I have been reading all the coverage of the "kiss" not just the teasers or previews but full episode and it hasn't aired yet here. I was just curious because I will stop reading all the posts and blogs from the West coast so I can get all the spontaneity and enjoyment out of seeing any future scenes fresh. I don't mind the spoilers but not the juicy details of how each one reacted or the events leading or following, I'd rather be suprised. I was curious because maybe my area is behind a day or just a few minutes. Was the towel "embrace" scene originally aired late on Thursday's episode, early Friday's episode or aired on both days in the West Coast? Thanks for anyone's input. ~v~

The towel scene was last Thursday - Friday.  We didn't see Luke/Noah again until this Thursday's show.  The kiss will be on tomorrow's show and continue on Monday's show.  It's a really long kiss. ;-).  Actually, it was shot twice.  One for Friday's show and one for Monday's.

I get approximately 10-20 emails weekly about the ATWT videos, some from as far away as China, the UK, Russia and Norway. Some US viewers have even told me that they will take today off for The Kiss. We are having a little party, and will link to several other such viewer parties via webcam. So "drop by" if you bump into our gathering in cyberspace.

Here's a particularly sweet email showing the excitement. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy. For whatever reason, these vids get a lot of feedback from 16-24 y/o's. :) (my physics, medical and political ones have a much older -- and lower -- viewership)

oh my god, i am so excited for today. every day i get home from work around 7 and the first thing i do (before i eat or shower) is look for the newest luke/noah vids. i subscribe to other people's luke/noah vids, but yours are by far the best.

i do not know how i am going to handle my day at work. i will be so excited to get home and see them kiss. i may be a 24 year old guy, but i screamed like a twelve year old girl when i saw the preview for the kiss. i think i am going to cry when i watch the actual scene. i have only been following this storyline since the beginning of the summer (when the rumors of luke's boyfriend first appeared), but i am so invested in the characters. i guess that is the nature of soap operas.

OMIGAWD. I expected to be disappointed, but *IT* surpassed anything I had imagine CBS would allow. I expected the lips to touch but not only was there suction, but the lips were moving, suggesting possible tongue action. And the camera went in close.

Homophobes must have fell off their seats. There is already talk of a boycott on the CBS ATWT boards.

The kiss continues on Monday so stay tune.

The WEIRDEST thing was that about 48 mins into the show (right before the last segment, with the kiss), they HAD AN AD FOR THE ARMY!!! The US military bans gays so it seems bizarre to me that they would put an ad on this episode. Advertisers are told in advance about "controversial" episodes so that they can pull out. In fact, our hero Noah doesn't even want to enlist.

Also, I love how considerate Luke is. He first backs off from helping with the tie, sensing Noah's discomfort.

I love Van Hansis eye contact right before the kiss.
