Queerview television guide for May 17th

Seriously -- what are we going to do without Ugly Betty (and Steven's brilliant recaps) after tonight's season finale? What, are we going to have to actually go out and make friends or something?!

Ugly Betty (ABC) 8:00PM EDT
Kristin Chenowith (Wicked, Bewitched, the upcoming Pushing Daisies), Gina Gershon (Showgirls, Bound), and "a beloved Broadway musical" that ties everything together make tonight's episode essentially a Pride parade with commercial breaks. Please let Justin's aforementioned West Side Story fingersnaps play a pivotal role in the drama.

The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS) 11:35PM EDT
Out musician Rufus Wainwright drops by Dave's to play a tune from his new album Release the Stars (most likely the gorgeous and incendiary "Going to a Town"). If you haven't checked out the album yet, it's pretty fantastic -- and I'm dying to see how the chorus "I'm so tired of you, America" goes over with a live studio television audience.

The Jimmy Kimmel Show (ABC) 12:05AM EDT (Friday)
In an unfortunate bit of timing, Mark Indelicato (Justin from Ugly Betty) appears as a guest on Kimmel after the final episode has aired. No worry, I love seeing this kid be his fabulous self with or without something to promote (although he does have his first solo album in the works...). Now, Kimmel's clumsy-pawed handling of Sanjaya Malakar and Rebecca Romijn make me a teensy bit worried about how he'll treat Indelicato -- but really, I think this kid can take care of himself. Finger-snaps!
