Reigning Gay of the Week: Luke Snyder, "As the World Turns"
That's right, folks: thanks to your votes, there's a new sheriff in town! Your votes have been tabulated, and As the World Turns' spunky-yet-virginal budding gay activist Luke Snyder has unseated General Hospital: Night Shift's Dr. Kyle Julian as the Reigning Gay of the airwaves. To find out by how much Luke won and why he beat out Julian, Eric van der Woodsen (Gossip Girl) and Charlie Sagansky (Raising the Bar) for the title, keep reading! Why he won: Last week Luke found his inner Act Up! as he decided to run for president of the Oakdale U student body in an attempt to save the gay/lesbian film festival. And even though he knew things would get personal with his rival, he didn't back down. That's showin' em moxie, kid! How he won: Luke earned 41% of the votes, while returning champ Kyle only pulled 23%. Eric van der Woodsen earned 27% for finding a boyfriend last week on Gossip Girl, and Charlie Sagansky of Raising the Bar only earned 9% of the votes because no one watches his show. Past wins: This was Luke's first nomination and first win. Remember, this week brings us a whole new batch of gay characters going about their gay business, and this Friday three new challengers will face off with Luke for the title. If you have suggestions as to who's up for the challenge, feel free to leave them in the comments! Submitted by on Mon, 2008-10-27 10:01. |

Didn't really know where to post this.
Has any of you seen last night's Raising the bar episode ??? Charlie finally came out and I thought it was great how his friends reacted ! I love him even more
REALLY good episode
Surprisingly well-written.
I loved the way they played the conflict between Luke and Noah over the election, as it was based on genuine issues rather than pure melodrama. Noah is right that Luke hasn't resolved his feelings for Kevin. But Luke is right wanting to fight back. Meanwhile it's obvious Kevin really loved those backrubs.
Meanwhile, poor Lady Drumstick faces the Big C again! And then there's the kidnapping finale. It's as if the show were actually worth watching.
