Your Gay of the Week: Andrew Van De Kamp

In one of the closest races yet, Desperate Housewives' newly-coupled Andrew Van De Kamp beat out the competition to become your Gay of the Week.

Why he won: After several seasons floundering for lack of a plot, Andrew has emerged a strong, proud and not-quite-as-sociopathic-as-he-used-to-be gay man with a head for business and a new boyfriend with a bod for sin (and porn). In last week's episode Andrew stood up to his judgey-judge mom and snagged a plastic surgeon boyfriend who's apparently good enough in bed to do it professionally. Way to go, Andrew!

How he won: Andrew earned 30% of the vote, BARELY beating out fellow challenger Luke Snyder from As the World Turns, who pulled 29%. Last week's king Neil Patrick Harris earned 22% and Kevin Walker of Brothers & Sisters earned 19%.

Past wins: This is Van De Kamp's first nomination and first win.

Andrew will wear the crown until this Friday, when three new challengers will arise to vie for the title. Enjoy your gay supremacy while it lasts, your majesty!
