Last night Joe (Charles Esten) was back to hang out with the fellas at his brother's bachelor party and engage in some brotherly banter that had nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that he's gay, and everything to do with the fact that he apparently LOVES being in weddings.
You can check out two more clips of what is fast becoming one of the gayest sitcoms around, after the jump. (Thanks to reader phredd allen for the tip!)
I'm not a loyal fan (I do like the show) and have missed a bunch, but from the credits listing Joe has only appeared in his "I'm gay for Christine" ep and this one ... which leads me to wonder if the wedding might be pulling him into the mix more and leading to a coming out of some sort. Would be cool!
I was confused about this too. It's been a while since I saw Joe's other episode ("Undercover Brother"), but I thought the way they left it at the end of that ep was that Joe had told him he was gay but Richard thought he was joking.
It's not in either of the clips, but Richard and Joe had a talk about how much they are not involved with each other's lives enough and Joe mentoned he was seeing a guy but wasn't sure where it was going or something to that effect. I don't exactly remember the conversation they had, but it was apparent that Richard knows. After they couldn't cime up with a time that would work for Joe because he was to busy (going on a gay Cruise in August, following the Backstreet Boys on a European tour in June), that's when Richard told Matthew that he could be best man again which leads to the 3rd clip above.
Joe's the gay one?
Did I miss a coming out episode?
Did I miss a coming out episode? I remember he came out to Christine, but denied being gay to Richard.
Oh well, its nice to have him back, the actor is very cute. But by the look of it, he wont be around much anyway. Hope that changes.
Not from the looks of it
Continuity error?

Joe was in the closet
I remember that gay episode. Joe was in the closet, and wasn't ready to come out yet. Would be cool if he finally does come out soon!
Harvey Milk: You gotta give 'em hope.
Richard knows . . .
