Save Dante! "Your Mama Don't Dance"'s last gay is on the block
I know, I know - I'm the only one watching Lifetime's first reality dance competition, Your Mama Don't Dance. (Well, me and Joel McHale. Together!) So to catch everyone up, here's the sitch: We started out the season of this bizarre contest, which asks 10 professional dancers to compete with their parents in a series of hilarious dance genre performances ranging from disco to 80's, with three out gay men. Gay dad Silvano was the first to get ousted (with daughter Celia), and just this last week gay dancer Jonathan and his mom were given the boot. This leaves us with just Dante, the New Jersey native who is dancing with his stepmom Dolores. I would be sorry to see Dante and Dolores go for a few reasons, including that he's adorable and talented and that these two really seem to be getting something out of the experience. And sorry, but the other duo up for elimination, Jesse and Rebecca, are really not doing it for me. Actually, I was shocked when they were saved from elimination and Jonathan and Rodilyn were sent home, as they seemed to have a lot more spunk and the judges were clearly impressed by Jonathan's technical skills. Anyway, voting is open until midnight EDT, and if you'd like to throw in a few votes for our queer brother-in-leg-warmers, head on over and click. To watch the dance that got Dante and his mama in the bottom two, check out the video below. Submitted by on Wed, 2008-04-02 12:02. |
