"Shirts & Skins" (1.03): Full Episode and Rory & Jamel's Vlog
It's Tuesday, and you know what that means? It's basketball time! Yes, we're pleased to offer the second full episode of Logo's Shirts & Skins, which follows the San Francisco Rockdogs as they try to regain their former glory with a new generation of players. (Logo is our parent company, hence the hookup.) In this week's episode, the guys go head-to-head against the local American Basketball Association team, The Rumble, and also plan a fundraising event involving a swimwear fashion show. But, as usual, the real drama is between the players (Pete and Jamel in particular). Check it out in full right here: Shirts & Skins: Episode 3 Each week we will also be posting a new Shirts & Skins Vlog, in which players Jamel and Rory discuss the episode and how they feel that the way the game was represented on the show was "dangerous". This week's episode is after the jump ... enjoy! Shirts & Skins Vlog: Episode 3 Submitted by on Tue, 2008-09-30 14:05. |

Rory looks so damn good in swimwear
Rory is undeniably one of the sexiest men I have ever seen because he was looking insanely cute in the bikini and not too many guys can wear a swimsuit and look that good.
Jamal, your amazing and funny as hell but you have to know that maybe it was editing that made you look like you weren't presence in the game. I know you were a little heated because you were benched and that sucked because you are an amazingly, talented player. You got skillz!
With the positive comes the negative and I feel awful even saying this but after hearing Rory and yourself talking about the episode, I have to say that sometimes things you see in others and that is whether it's positive or negative, you possess. I pray for all the success in the world for you and your fellow teammates but I have to say that you have to be careful with your observations sometimes of others. I'm referring to your comments to Peter because without attempting to be mean-spirited, you really came off like a bitch and once again, that could have been how they edited everything. You seem so alive and so intouch with your being, besides being this adorably hot guy. I know you were completely right about being under fire more than anyone on the squad and in house but just imagine if no one was there to give you constructive at times. Watching you with Peter, was a bit painful because Peter shares your love for the game and that is so clear and he is all about being a team player but it is also noticable that maybe he isn't as an intense player as you but still is talented. You have to know that a house divided, won't stand a chance.
I'm just worried that your going to end up a bit bitter or looking bitter because of editing but mainly because of your passion. You don't want to end up like Omarosa because believe it or not, I don't think her intent was to be the reality tv villian, that she ended being in the end. She is actually this very highly intelligent black woman, that wanted to deseperately work for Mr. Trump and get her foot in the door. She did her homework and realized that Mr. Trump could be her meal ticket. Thanks to the magic of editing and the whole hype about reality tv, she ended up looking like and being this nasty black woman, which we both know she isn't.
You already know about how editing can either work for you or against you. You have to remember that the cameras are on and like the camera adding 15lbs, well with your disposition, it does the same thing. If your nice, than the camera and editing makes you seem extra nice and almost unbelievable at times. If your a tad bitchy, then it super-sizes that and makes you The Queen Of Bitches. The truth is all of us have a bit of bitchness about us but it's whether we show it or not and when is the right time to have a 'bitch fit'. You have to keep it real and you don't want to end up being 'really fake' but you have to be sensitive to others, especially people that have your back. That team definitely has your back.
However, the show is one of my favorites and you guys are making gay men and boys from all walks of life and espeically this eternally 16 year old, 35 year old (ME), that always wanted to hoop, very, very proud. Keep up the good work. See you on the next episode and blog. You guys are completely amazing.
Bitch Session
Maybe I was watching a totally different show , the way Jamel dissed Mike was not cool, on the real Jamel came off as a tired queen.....this Vlog should be titled "Bitch Session 101: How to Hate on Mike".....sounds to me like Jamel is jealous of how Mike is being portrayed compared to how he's being portayed, or he's just jealous of Mike for whatever reason.....All in all Alex did the right thing by not starting Jamel, in the time he took to tell everyone else he wasn't going to be a practice he could have called Alex and told Alex himself...
