Six Degrees of Gay Separation: Mother's Day Edition

As you may recall, each Thursday we waste a little company time by playing a trivia game that asks you to connect your favorite gay actors via a glorious chain of on-screen homosexuality. Were Kevin Bacon in a grave, he'd no doubt be rolling in it.

Last week we asked you to connect Rupert Everett and Rock Hudson, which smartypants was able to do in two quick degrees -- because even though Julie Andrews didn't technically play gay in Victor/Victoria (remember, any straight actors used in the chain have to have played gay in at least one of the roles), she did play a woman pretending to be a gay man, so that'll do. Brava!

This week we ask you to connect these two fine fellows, who played memorable characters who had considerable issues with their onscreen mothers. Enjoy -- and may the best mama's boy -- er, child -- win!

Anthony Perkins (as Norman Bates in Psycho)

Divine (as Dawn Davenport in Female Trouble)

two degrees

1) Divine and Tab Hunter were in Polyester

2) Tab Hunter and Anthony Perkins were in The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean

Hope this works for all.

Fondly,

re: two degrees

BTW, do I get extra credit for having ALL the actors in the connection gay??

Ok, you win.

But here's my byzantine, IMDB-assisted attempt anyway. (I know--cheatsies!)

Anthony Perkins and Roddy McDowell were in The Black Hole (Dirty!), McDowall played
"The Bookworm" on Batman, which featured Cesar Romero as "The Joker". Romero starred with Paul Bartel in "Mortuary Academy", and the latter appeared with Divine in "Out of the Dark"

All gay, and sadly, all deceased.
