Six Degrees of Gay Separation: UK Johns edition

And no, we don't mean that kind of "john" -- we mean guys named John from merry ole England/Scotland/et cetera. We figured, with the (debunked) rumors swirling about gay actor John Barrowman possibly playing recently-deceased gay actor John Inman in a biopic, why not use them as the subjects of this week's Six Degrees of Gay Separation game?

But before we get to that, let's talk about the winners in last week's How Awful About Alan edition. Charming reader (and second-time winner) jakob wowed the crowd by connecting Alan Bates and Alan Cumming through one lone actor: gay Brit Stephen Fry, who appeared in Gosford Park with Bates and Spice World with Cumming. This make me furious because it seems far too easy and forces me to admit that I have actually seen Spice World, and further, enjoyed it.

So let's hope this week's challenge is a bit tougher, or at least more circuitous. Oh -- and anyone who is able to use Barrowman's magnum opus Shark Attack 3: Megalodon receives instant canonization into the AfterElton.com Hall of Saints. Once we build it. Have at it!

John Barrowman is in Torchwood with Naoko Mori, who plays bisexual Dr. Toshiko Sato.

Naoko Mori was in several episodes of Absolutely Fabulous.  Patsy Stone (played by Joanna Lumley) was, at one point, a man.

Joanna Lumley guest-starred on two episodes of Are You Being Served? with John Inman.

Didn't use Megaladon, but only because Absolutely Fabulous was too difficult to pass up.

John Inman appeared in a british comedy series called "Take a Letter Mr Jones" with Miriam Margolyes

She appeared in an episode of the recent Marple series called "Murder at the Vicarage" which also featured Mark Gatiss

Who has appeared in (and written for) Doctor Who which features John Barrowman (or if that doesn't work because they weren't in the same episodes, then they both appeared in the same episode of "Doctor Who Confidential", season 2 episode 12 "Welcome to Torchwood")
