Sneak Peek: "Jeffery and Cole Casserole"

Tonight Logo (our parent company) premieres a new sketch-comedy series that rips two gay online faves from one screen and plops them onto another.

You may know Internet startups Jeffery Self and Cole Escola as the "VGL Boys", but in their new weekly show, Jeffery and Cole Casserole, they're expanding their webcam horizons ... although not their production values.

The resulting show is a bizarre "casserole" of sketch comedy, stream-of-consciousness improv and general weirdness that until now has been hard to find outside of public-access television. (And as a huge fan of public-access television, I mean that as a compliment.) The only thing missing is Cream of Mushroom Soup!

Above, check out a sample clip of one of the premiere's livelier sketches, "Enter the Old Show Queen", which I found kind of hilarious despite being a bit of an old show queen myself. If it whets your whistle, you can watch the first episode online or tonight when it airs on the network at 11PM EDT.

BRIAN GET OUT OF MY HEAD. SPOOKY!

I can't believe you.

I just sent an email to THE MONKEY yesterday asking him questions about Jeffery and Cole because I've been dying for AfterElton to do something about them.

OMG!! YOU ROCK MY WORLD, SERIOUSLY.

I completely and absolutely adore them. I've seen every one of their videos and Jeffrey's shows @ Joes Pub.

Where do I send the matching hat and scarf set for you and your hubby cuz you so deserved fuzzy knitted things for this for next winter.

Yay!

Yawn

Actually they just sound like bitter hookers b*tch*ng about their old johns. You should see my impression of Williamsburg douche bags that wear white Ray-Bans because they think throwback is cool

Maybe they should just find a new line of work and they won't have to deal with the old queens

Oh wait, these two hardly seem like they would know what work is. So fucking entitled with NO regard for all the work the men who came before them did for them. And on the 40-anniversary of Stonewall no less. F**K OFF you little sh**s. If you aren't in the street doing something about the current situation then you are just b*tch*ing. You really think you can lay the gay marriage debate at the feet of the generations before you who actually out their lives on the line to get this far.

Won't do you spend less time bitching about old queens that hardly even exist anymore (wasn't even done well BTW) and spend a little more time working out some decent ironic humor that is actually relevent (probably not gonna happen, too stupid and untalented I'm sure).

Wow. Jeffrey and Cole have

Wow. Jeffrey and Cole have a whole new bit written for them courtesy of the previous poster. Slap on some old fuddy duddy hats and lower their registers and they're all set.

I LOVE you VGL boys. Best wishes!

It rocked!

I watched the first epsidoe and absolutely loved it. I laughed a lot, and just really enjoyed the whole thing.  I've been a fan of Jeffery and Cole since they started making videos on YouTube and am thrilled that they got this chance with Logo!

I laughed

Honestly, It was the best laugh I've had in a long time. Funny, kooky, screwed up. Jeffrey Self is cute as hell. He and Cole have great timing. I look forward to the next one and in the mean time am catching up on the YouTube videos.
