Suck It Up & Dance! vlog (Episode 6): "Butch It Up & Dance"

John and Colin are back with yet another star-studded edition of Suck It Up & Dance. This week they've wrangled Hairspray dancer Dwayne (also known as Downtown nightlife diva Milan) to teach them a few dance moves and dish on Jerry Mitchell, Lance Bass, butching it up for auditions, and more. You really haven't seen "the motion of the ocean" until you've seen the Suck It Up boys hit the waves. Trust.

Oh, and of course they discuss the latest episode of Step It Up & Dance, which was thrice upon a mattress and as many times uncomfortable for all involved, including us.

Check it all out after the break!

Once again, lots of fun guys

John and Colin, I love that you're including real Broadway talent in your recaps. The people you've had on are real deals -- hardworking, articulate, working, professional, paid dancer/singer/actors.

Thanks to the over-abundance of reality competitions, American TV audiences think being on stage (or film or a concert stage) is just about nailing one song, one dance, one number once. It's not. It's about working hard, working long, and doing it again and again with an eye on constantly refining your skills and yourself. The real, working talent you include helps give us all a bigger and better sense of the lives and demands of being a professional performer. So thanks!

Oh, and you two are getting all kinds of action/interest/dates/whatever for your complete adorableness in these segments, right?

    GREAT AS ALWAYS

I enjoy your recaps more than the show itself!  Dwayne's adorable, keep up the good work.

Also, I'm not sure I would use Diavolo as an exemplar of Modern Dance--in some ways I think his work is closer to gymnastics, but the challenge was interesting.  I doubt he would ever let his own dancers dance full out on his set pieces after just a few hours training on them--no wonder Moochi got hurt.

    I heart Dwayne

Thanks for bringing on some fun people to comment on the show. Didn't bother watching but I was looking forward to your commentary.
