New teen movie tie-in promotes gay sex with Abe Lincoln just in time for President's Day

I don't have much to say about this other than that I really hope that this is just an example of a marketing idea gone terribly, horribly wrong ... but I probably shouldn't get my hopes up.

In a bizarre attempt to entice people to see some direct-to-video dog called Extreme Movie, the Weinstein Co. has created a website that allows you to get "revenge" on a friend by uploading his picture and having him get buggered by Abraham Lincoln before sending him off to his assassination.

It's weird enough to use the threat of gay sex from an American hero who's been dead for ages as "revenge", and even weirder that the whole enterprise is rather elaborate and detailed for a "haha your gay!" joke. But even more troubling is the fact that, given the promo still above, it appears that the footage used in the viral video is from the movie itself, although I have no idea what the context might be. I'd hope that it's not as distasteful as this, but again ... probably shouldn't.
