- Matt Dillon to play an overzealous camp leader where John Travolta and Robin Williams -- who play best (straight) friends forced to babysit for two weeks -- drop their kids in the upcoming "comedy" Old Dogs. Dillon's character of course believes that the men are a gay couple and freaks out accordingly. Noted gay-humor butterfingers Walt Becker (Wild Hogs) to direct with remarkable sensitivity. Not.
- Noted Carson Kressley fan John Laws finally off the air in Australia.
- Out and The Advocate to undergo more changes. Oddly, despite circulation being up for both titles and gay ad spends rising steadily since 1996, ad buys for both mags plunged this year. As with everything else, those pesky cowboys likely to blame for 2006's high watermark.
- In case you were wondering whether it's cool or not to pretend to be an HIV+, abused, trangender, teenaged prostitute to sell a few books and a movie deal, um ... it's not.
