Trick and Treat!
Damn, you beat me
The actor is....
john b..........
ok, john barrowman is my new obsession. i love reading his interviews. i love having him "speak our mind" in a sense about being gay and what we want (marriage, etc)
"It irks me that in the States gay women have to be heavy and gay men have to be really effeminate." - -> I think america is slowwwlllly starting to back away from the stereotypes.....which is obviously a good thing.
...i can't believe they told john that he was "too straight" for will and grace....is that ironic, seeing as Eric McCormick really *IS* straight and john is gay? "well, john...you're gay, but you play it wayyy too straight....but eric....straight, but he isn't too straight" ---LMAO WHATEVER. i wish i could've been there. i would've laughed in their faces and asked what delusional crack they were smoking.
Out and About
John Barrowman hits the right notes when he talks about being gay and gay civil rights. I'm always surprised when a gay celebrity says something about gay issues that I agree with. There are a lot of gay people that hold my views yet there is little progress on how to address them. Why? As far as the Will & Grace part I think the casting directors made the right choice. John was not right for the part.
Donnie has a lot on his mind. In the interview he said about being gay "And how I grew up, it was an abomination. You grow up with a lot of self-hate. You grow up with a lot of just insecurities, man. I just used to be a very crazy, mad...I’m just now coming out of it..." You can tell he's been deeply scarred by his past. Gay people are very reflective. When you have people questioning your humanity you tend to look inward and question your self. He has a lot of questions. He still has a long way to go before he reconciles with his homosexuality and past. I wish him luck.
I'm not holding my breath with Out and other PlanetOut publications. Last year they had two gay celebrities on the covers of Out and The Advocate the same month then went back to their formula of having straight people on. This month Eric Alva is on The Advocate and Nate Berkus is on Out.
I love John B! I didn't know
I love John B! I didn't know he was that close to play Will in Will&Grace, I am really really really glad he didn't get it, I so can not see him in a comedy show like that. He is so good in Torchwood, God I love that show so much!!
