- As much as I love Chris from Project Runway (and I really really do), when he said he moved to NYC because of Sex and the City I seriously almost barfed, as that show made me want to move OUT of the city and to somewhere where I wouldn't be trampled by the army of bitch-booted do-me bachelorettes who invaded Manhattan because of it. Regardless, here's the thoroughly underwhelming trailer for the film. Enjoy.
- Colts coach Tony Dungy (shown in the nightmare-haunting pic at the top) is at it again with his gay-hating ways, noting that if he had a gay on his team he would "talk to him about (his) views on it, what the Bible says about it." I guess in response I'd ask him what the Bible says about his working every Sunday for 9 months out of the year. BAM!
- The Queerty boys love Chris Matthews, and with quotes like this one, I'm tempted to fall for him myself: "My own response to the Craig story is to side with gay marriage. If we don‘t respect people, how do we expect them to respect themselves? Anyway, that‘s just my reaction."
- Didja hear the one about Jodie Foster mentioning her longtime partner in a speech earlier this week? If not, get the full scoop from the guy who was in the room, AfterElton.com contributor Greg Hernandez.
- That's it for us, but be sure you read Michael's lemony-fresh Best.Gay.Week.Ever. column (now with more gay angel!) and have a great weekend!

Before you fall for Matthews
check this out:

I've seen his show, he seems awfully enamored with Republicans to me (cringes.)
With Friends Like These...
Theroux is right: let's not roll out the rainbow flag carpet for Chris Matthews quite so quickly.
Follow Theroux's link and you'll find Matthews tossing out the idea on his show (with no evidence whatsoever) that it might have been a gay man who burned down churches in Alabama. And-- if you'll look at the comments section under Queerty's praise of Matthews, you'll find someone printing more of the full transcripts-- but let's not forget that it was Matthews who gave an hour's worth of airtime for Ann Coulter to toss around the word "f*g" and Matthews who had a good on-air chuckle-fest with Don Imus over Brokeback Mountain jokes. In neither case did Matthews (at the time) confront his guests that the dialogue was inappropriate. At best, he was passively uncomfortable; at worst, he was a participant and a facilitator for this kind of inane bigotry getting airtime on MSNBC.
Let's not even get into Matthews' misogyny (or, what the heck, let's). Do a web search sometime and you're likely to see some examples of the slimey way Matthews treats women. Here and here, for instance:

I reckon I'll pass on falling for Matthews.

"It takes a village (to make Village People)"
I am depressed as hell to see Chris Matthews getting a plug on afterelton. He's is a misogynist who has made racist and homophobic remarks and who salivated over George Bush when he first ran for the White House. He joined the pack that dog-piled on Al Gore and now he's doing the same thing to Hillary Clinton. This man is pure gutter-trash (and, yes, I know he was once in the Peace Corps; so was I, and I still loathe him). You will never learn anything of substance from him about anything going on in the country. All you will learn is gossip and innuendo (translate: lies). He is garbage of the first order. Why he is allowed to take up valuable airspace on any network is beyond me. Now, don't ask me what I really think!
