T.R. Knight serenades Katie Heigl, gay marriage on today's Oprah

We mentioned in today's Queerview that budding gay icon Katherine Heigl would be appearing on today's Oprah, and lo and behold, it looks like the appearance may cement her gay icon status even further.

Looks like Oprah enlisted the help of Katie's gay BFF, Grey's Anatomy co-star and apparent banjo enthusiast T.R. Knight, to provide a pre-taped ballad for the 27 Dresses star. It's adorable to see Knight pluck away as though he were sitting on a lilypad in The Muppet Movie and praise Heigl's best qualities, but the highlight comes in the last line of the song:

"And yer wedding was so beautiful.

... And who knows, some day it may be legal for me, too"

Churrrrrrrch! Great to see Knight supporting his pal and staying out and proud. Encore! Do you know Rainbow Connection?
