Blood Work "True Blood" video blog Ep. 5: Home Sweet House of Horrors

For this week’s edition of Blood Work, I visited the insane horror museum apartment of NYC horror filmmaker (and all-around lunatic) Bryan Norton (Penny Dreadful, Tomorrow's Bacon). Deep in his house of horrors, he and I watched the fifth episode of the increasingly complicated True Blood vampire series and then retired to the Blood Beachside kitchenette to discuss the direction the show has headed.

Will Bryan and I get sucked into Bill's backstory? Will we guess who was responsible for the shocking (and bloody) last-minute kill? And will I make it out of the memorabilia-laden apartment in one piece?

Find out after the break!

    But Grandma!

Wasn't killed the same way as the other two! So what is this? More than one killer?

Plus it still seems that someone is stalking Jason and killing people (women?)  connected to him.

    The pilot

I just rewatched the first episode and it really isn't as good as all the rest of them, so I'm glad Bryan gave it another shot.

Thanks for the vlog! Love it.

    But why Brian

The killer could be Hoyte but why would a man go around killing women who are close to Sookie?

    Are they, though?

Maudette Pickens wasn't close to Sookie at all, and Dawn was just her co-worker. The women are tied much more closely to Jason than they are to Sookie, but that might not even be significant. And it could be a woman, sure. Tara? Hmm. I'm not even convinced that whoever killed the first two ladies killed Gran, because it was a wildly different method of murder. I initially thought it could be a woman who is obsessed with Jason (like Tara) but now I'm not so sure. Whatever the case, the show's having a great time throwing red herrings at us and I'm enjoying being buried in them.

I doubt it could be Hoyt

He was at the bar with Renee and Jason...

    Wait

I haven't watched since Ep. 3 but didn't they show Sam talking with the dog on the porch of his trailer in an earlier episode? Wouldn't that make it impossible for him to BE the dog? I'm so confused. Maybe I should catch up...
