Two Gay Guys video blog: Interview with Xanadu's Cheyenne Jackson

Last weekend Two Gay Guys, Michael and Brent, came to New York City and found themselves nestled within the hunky backstage inner sanctum of none other than out Broadway star Cheyenne Jackson, currently skating up a storm in Xanadu, one of a handful of shows unaffected by the ongoing stagehands strike.

Aside from being a quintuple-threat (I'm keeping a few of the threats secret, as they exist entirely in my mind), the charismatic and accomplished up-and-comer is also charming and adorable, as the video makes clear.

You lucky dogs. Thanks

You lucky dogs.

Thanks for giving us a chance to confirm what everybody has been saying about this charming and talented hunk. Nice interview. I will cross my fingers for that show to be picked up, it will be great to see more of him on weekly basis.

Awesome video!

I'm pretty sure the lead that Cheyenne stepped back in for didn't injure himself rollerskating.  I believe he injured himself pointing out to the cast a dangerous spot on the stage even though he wasn't on skates.

 Again, great video!

Something to be Thankful For

This is surreal.  I can't believe you guys met Cheyenne!  He was so great with you two.

My fingers and toes are crossed for his show is picked up. :)

Awesome interview!

As usual, you two do an excellent job with the vlog. And you're right - Cheyenne is super charming and adorable! I wish him all the best in his career. Here's hoping we'll get to see him on the small screen in that new series.

Have a great Thanksgiving guys!

Great interview, and glad you both enjoyed the show.  I am oddly fond of the music from the film---maybe because it brings back memories of my own lost youth, or something like that!  (I was teasing my niece a bit during her last visit, playing the title song over and over again---it drove her crazy.  Ha!  But it is just so darn catchy...)  I'm looking forward---finally---to the release of the cast album in January.  I'll not get to see the show, but I do want to hear the new recording.

The original movie ends with one of the stupidest fade-outs in film history; I've always been curious as to whether anyone who knows how to lip read has been able to figure out what the two leads are saying as the credits scroll by.  I imagine it is things like "Is the camera still rolling?" "What are we supposed to do now?" "Is the film over yet?"

Oddly fond? Nothing odd, but just you having great taste While the movie Xanadu is a clunker, the soundtrack may be one of the very best ever. I bet that niece of yours will wind up loving it.....

With regard to the movie, I can't believe how terrible it is and not a lip reader. It was recently the selection for our monthly movie night, and I could not been find the "so bad its good" aspect of it, except for Olivia. Something about her just makes me smile..... and it also seems to be the case for a canine named Louie:

But there are some visual nuggets, which I hope you enjoy.....

Could Cheyenne Jackson be any hunkier/charming?

While a stunner via the pictures that you wonderful people have posted on here, I had no clue that he was such a charmer. He's so adorable in the interview and as I watched him I kept thinking that this guy should have a HUGE future ahead of him as I can't imagine anyone not being taken with him in any role, gay/straight/alien. He reminds me of a much better looking version than the already hot Rob Estes with a dash of Bruce Campbell (from the Sam Ramie horror flicks) appeal.

All that I can say is that he gives great interview...... How awesome that the guys got this exclusive. Great camera placement, great questions, and love the pre and post theatre commentary. I am glad that this was my formal introduction to "Two Gay Guys." This interview will be bookmarked at once for more than one reason......

Well no doubt CJ is HOT as HELL! but the show in general? P U ... theatre's too small, etc etc etc - and even in MSG the show would still SUX out LOUD!
