New "Milk" featurettes revisit film's inspiration, message, hair

In a timely move that has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that final Oscar ballots are now sitting on the desks of the nannies of every Academy member, the folks at Focus Features have released two mini-docs featuring the actors and the filmmakers behind 8-time nominee Milk.

Gay producers Bruce Cohen and Dan Jinks (who is kitten-cute, although being a Hollywood type he'd probably rip my rib cage out with his teeth for saying so) are also prominently featured, as is consultant Cleve Jones (who is played by Emile Hirsch in the film).

You can watch both "vignettes" (which, it turns out, is not something that you pour on salad) below (actors first, filmmakers second, and both autoplay - sorry!). These were obviously shot during production as the actors are in their period hair and costumes, if you're into that kind of thing. [Raises hand]
