Video: Our exclusive chat with Ian McKellen (Part 1)

Last week editor Michael Jensen reported from the TCA tour that he'd managed to book some time with one of the highest-profile gay actors in the world (not to mention one of the greatest living actors, period), Ian McKellen.

Resident vlogger/cutiepants Daniel Leary (Mores for Gays) was more than happy to play Barbara Walters, and the result was a video interview so blindingly charming that we were forced by federal regulations to split it into three parts, lest it induce brain-melt and cause spontaneous showers of kittens across the globe.

After the jump, check out the first part of the interview, in which Sir Ian and Daniel discuss politics, the recent Presidential election, the Rick Warren invite and the gay rights movement.
