A few weeks back we reported that a biopic of Real World alum and AIDS activist Pedro Zamora was on its way, thanks in part to gay screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and gay producers (and partners) Wash Westmoreland and Richard Glatzer (Quinceanera).
Pedro will premiere on a variety of MTV's networks (including Logo, who owns this site) on April 1 at 8PM EDT.

Story must be told
Pedro actually made a difference in my life way back when, and I'm really glad his story is being told - I think that today we need heroes like Pedro, people willing to stand up and say "I'm here, and I matter." With DLB and the producers in charge, I'm sure they'll do it justice.
If I had one gripe with that trailer, I remember Pedro as being very soft-spoken - this actor seems a little more forceful than my admittedly foggy memory recalls. Maybe I'm wrong, but I remember Pedro as quietly confidant and dignified.
Pedro
A True Hero
Wow.
I'd rather see real footage
Documentary idea
Pedro
Pedro was a hero and a true role model for so many people. His courage alone is adimerable.
This movie looks good, it's an important movie with an important story to tell, not just about Pedro himself, but about HIV/AIDS work, and how important this is still today.
Harvey Milk: You gotta give 'em hope.
