Rachel Maddow on the Prop 8 hearings. What did you think?

Yesterday was clearly a big day for gay rights, as the California court heard arguments for and against the repeal of Proposition 8, a voter initiative that stripped gays of their right to marry (a right granted by the court months earlier).

By most accounts, the day was not a triumph, or even a success, for our side. I'm curious: Did you follow the hearings closely? What did you think of the arguments themselves, the court's response, and the media coverage of the day?
