Whither Bronnie? Meet Chris and Shawn, the gay men of "Make Me a Supermodel" Season 2

(Photos: Jason Kibbler/Bravo)

If you're at all like us (and we really hope, for the sake of your spinal fluid, that you're not) you found yourself enraptured against your will by the first season of Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel, a reality competition in which a bunch of pretty people were thrown into a townhouse in Manhattan and asked to be gorgeous on command.

Last season brought us lovable gay contestant Ronnie Kroell (who made it to the finals), not to mention his "bromance" with straight contestant Ben.

This year there's not one, but two gay guys in the bunch, and we all know what that means...

Homance!

Meet your gays, after the jump!

First we have Chris, 22, from Illinois:

Chris's bio:

Chris is inspired by art - music, fashion, design - and he believes they all run parallel. Chris dreams of becoming a supermodel and using his design sense and influence to create a high-end fashion line of accessories. Trained at the California Design College in Los Angeles, he currently works at the Spanish clothing store Zara when he is not working modeling jobs.

And we also have Shawn, 30, Seattle:

Shawn's bio:

A man of immense determination, Shawn has been known to do whatever it takes to live his dreams - and this competition is no exception. His biggest inspiration to get back into the modeling industry was his brother, who passed away a little over a year ago. Shawn is currently working in Sales in Pensacola, Florida., where he lives with his beloved husband of seven years. He studied acting at Seattle Central Community College, enjoys writing poetry, and participating in athletic activities, specifically swimming.

That's all I have for now, but I'll update as appropriate with bio info. Oh, and as for why the promo stills are all black-and-white, I have no clue. I feel like I just stepped out of a time machine and into a 1992 Calvin Klein ad.

This season they've also dropped hostess/oversteamed asparagus impersonator Nikki Taylor and replaced her with Nicole Trunfio, whatever that is (Tyson Beckford remains as host and mentor). Lesbian model Jenny Shimizu is also a judge, as are Catherine Malandrino and two men named simply "Marion" and "Perou" (both are photographers with apparent allergies to last names). For more, check out the new season's official site.
