Your Gay of the Week: Adam Lambert, "American Idol"

After confusing the judges, horrifying the reanimated corpse of Randy Travis with his nail polish and singing the crap out of everything thrown his way, American Idol hopeful Adam Lambert has emerged from the Gay of the Week fray as this week's eyeliner-happy victor.

To find out by what margin Adam bested the other challengers, read on. And be sure to check back in on Friday when a new crop of hopefuls throw down the gay gauntlet in the name of network supremacy!

Why he won: Despite never having confirmed his sexuality in so many words, Adam's "take it or leave it" attitude, theatrical performances and penchant for kissing men in photographs has made him a favorite with gay fans everywhere, and a suitable seat for the throne.

How he won: Our "Ring of Fire" enthusiast scored big with viewers in his first time at the rodeo, earning 36% if the total vote. Reigning Gay of the Week Luke Snyder came in a close second with 33%. Kevin and Scotty Walker-Wandell garnered 29% of the votes, and new gay Brad from Rules of Engagement earned a rather sad 2%, although things will likely change when his character becomes more prominent in the coming weeks.

Past wins: This is Adam's first time in the throne.

We'll see you on Friday, when your votes will determine who will enjoy gaydom's most sought-after piece of headgear next week!
