Don't let his trademark deadpan stare fool you: Out Emmy- and Tony-winning actor David Hyde Pierce is effing THRILLED to have been voted Gay of the Week by our readers!

Why he won: Well, really ... who doesn't love them some DHP (soon to rival NPH as the hottest AKA since JFK)? But last week when David spoke out about his own (legally valid!) marriage on The View, not to mention his own call to activism, it was beyond moving ... it was downright kingly.

How he won: Nee-Niles took 34% of the votes, with Out of the Wild's Jake Nodar close behind with 31%. T.R. Knight came in third (19%) for literally being thrown under the bus on Grey's Anatomy, and everyone's favorite crazy uncle George Takei came in last with 16%.

Past wins: This is DHP's first time under the most fabulous headgear in show business.
