Your Gay of the Week: Luke Snyder, "As the World Turns"

Having been to the mountain (Brokeback Mountain, to be exact) and then returning to spread the gospel of pure, headboard-shattering love to the citizens of Oakdale, Luke Snyder has once again secured the crown as the reader-determined Gay of the Week.

Below, you can find out just how and why Luke earned the love of the gay voting public this week, and by what margins his bed-head and ice-cream-sticky afterglow secured him the throne.

Why he won: After boyfriend Noah Mayer hogged the post-coital crown, Luke elbowed his way into some screentime and played cupid for his pals, all while keeping Noah too breathless and weak-kneed to leave the bedroom. Well played, Snyder!

How he won: Luke secured 55% of the votes this week, with RuPaul coming in second with 25%. Alec Baldwin's gay and Mexican 30 Rock alter-ego El Generalissimo earned 16% of the votes, while gay football player Clay from The Game pulled a paltry 3%.

Past wins: This is Luke's fourth tour of duty.

We'll see you on Friday, when your votes will determine whether Luke will hold on to the crown or lose it to one of three new challengers.

I Think...

... as long as Luke is running around Oakdale with his decoder ring and magnfiying glass (to solve mysteries, not for that!), he might be in for a long reign.  Who doesn't love a good dick detective?

He needs better competition

There had to be better gays of the week than the one you guys chose. I'm tired of Luke winning and he's only won twice this year.  LOL

Must have been a slow gay

Must have been a slow gay news week if Luke could win, let alone for Bladwin's nom?  Sheesh.

Slower than a seven-year itch

Without new eps of most of the shows with gay characters and no Olli or Christian on Forbidden Love, last week was sloooooooow. Here's hoping for better pickins this week.
