Preview: "Top Design 2" has a new look but the gays remain the same

Top Design 2 kicks off tonight (10pm on Bravo) and it looks like a little bit of redecorating was needed to make it to a second season. While we all love and adore Todd Oldham, you have to admit that he was far from a lively and engaging host. Weekly, Jonathan Adler showed him up with his witty remarks and camera ready snark so when I found out that Oldham was out, I thought for sure Adler was in. Well surprise surprise... the new host of Top Design is model, author, designer and mother of four India Hicks!

Don't worry your pretty little well coifed heads though, Oldham and Adler are still very much involved and I'm very pleased with the changes.  Todd Oldham will now work as "mentor" to the designers and I think that makes so much more sense, don't you?

Meanwhile, Adler will remain as Head Judge and will once again be joined by the nuttier than chinese chicken salad Kelly Wearstler and the woman that puts Nina Garcia to shame, Margaret Russell to determine which designer will get to hear Adler's cramazing catch phrase "See you later decorator!".

I don't know about you but that video has me pumped for the new season! Wearstler looks battier than ever and this new host looks like she might give Top Chef's Padma Lakshmi a run for her money.  I'm green with envy that I'll have to watch Andrea Schroder go on about sleeping with her fine husband week after week (Isn't that what this show is about?  No?  Design?  Oh...) and it looks like you can't shake a paint brush without slapping a queer or five across the face.
